This past summer, we had the wonderful opportunity to build a home for the Hiraldo family. Zeneida, a single mother, and her three children were previously living in a one-room shack made up of tree limbs, scrap wood, and palm fronds. The family constantly struggled to keep their home from falling apart. Whenever it rained, they faced extreme conditions, including constant flooding.

For a long time, the Hiraldo family has faced both physical and spiritual challenges. But thanks to your generous giving, we were able to send a team of 10 people to build them a brand-new home. Their new home includes three bedrooms and a bathroom, giving the family a safe and secure place to live. They now have walls and a roof that will protect them from the harsh conditions they once faced.

And the impact didn't stop with the house. Because of your generosity, we were also able to provide each member of the family with a brand-new bed to sleep on.

What was once a home that struggled to withstand the rain and wind is now a place where this family can find safety, comfort, and hope. This house will always be a testimony of God’s love and provision. We are incredibly grateful for everyone who gave, served, prayed, and helped make this possible. Your generosity has made a lasting difference in the lives of the Hiraldo family.

Why Give?

We give as a response to the gift of mercy we've received from God through Jesus. We don’t give out of obligation or to earn God’s favor, we give as an outpouring of a heart that worships Jesus. Giving is an act of worship that pleases God and increases our faith. As we give generously, our lives are transformed to look more like Jesus. It teaches us to trust God and submit everything to Him because everything we have comes from Him. When we give generously, God is glorified, our hearts are transformed, and lives are changed in Austin and around the world.

Why Give to South Daytona Christian Church?

As a church, we deeply value the ways in which we steward our finances. Every dollar spent is done for the flourishing of God’s kingdom and the mission He’s called us to. Sometimes that means spending money to keep the lights on in our office and other times it means sending financial support to our missionaries. We care deeply about the “why” behind every dollar we spend because we want to steward each dollar in a way that advances God’s kingdom.

The new giving portal is simply a tool that allows everyone to view and print their contribution records at any time, whether the gifts were made in person or online. While the system offers an online giving option, your in-person gifts are just as valued and appreciated!

  • Rest assured, the giving website is completely secure. Your personal information and giving records are protected. Your account already exists in the portal whether or not you log in, so accessing it does not make it more or less secure.

  • Yes! In fact, now you can access your statements anytime throughout the year, no need to wait for tax season. The church office will still have access to these records and can print a statement for anyone who is in need.
