Bobby has been with SDCC since Noah landed the ark. Starting as an intern, he went on to be our Youth Minister before becoming our much loved Lead Pastor. That's almost 40 years he's served here! He's also one of the rare Florida natives you hear about, born right here at Halifax Hospital. He is married to Cindy, who is the VPK Director for our highly acclaimed Preschool, and they have two grown and married children. Bobby and Cindy have both been educated and degreed through Florida Christian College (now Johnson University Florida). He truly cares about people and works hard to help, mentor and connect people to Jesus. He's not afraid to get his hands dirty as he follows God's lead in all areas of life, even spending time in Haiti each year ministering to those sorely in need of hope. His heart is for the lost wherever they may be. People in our community know him to be a man of integrity with a caring heart. He always makes time for people and his wise counsel is a huge blessing to us all. Besides crafting relevant and inspiring sermons and lessons, Bobby continues to be instrumental in bringing unity to area churches through the Pastor's Prayer Gathering and ENOCH. Bobby has enjoyed running since his youth when he was involved in track at school. He continues to run in local events and challenge himself in training. Christmas brings out his tech savvy side each year as he creates a programmed wonderland of lights and music around his home. This hobby keeps him preparing for a good part of the year during his "off" time. People come to see from miles around. Bobby says, "My life verse is Galatians 6:9 ~ ' Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.' It's one that has helped me persevere through life. I share it often. We all need that hope."

Hunter is our Associate Pastor and is excited to be a part of the team here at South Daytona. Hunter is married to Hannah, and they have five children: Katie, Samuel, Jessica, Owen, and Hailey. Hunter graduated from Johnson University Florida (formerly Florida Christian College) and has served in various churches in Florida, Georgia, and Colorado. He is glad to be back in Florida and is excited to be a part of the team here at South Daytona. Hunter is married to Hannah, and they have 5 children: Katie, Samuel, Jessica, Owen, and Hailey. His favorite hobbies include fishing, kayaking, gardening, reading, and drinking coffee with Hannah.

Trevor Fricke is our Youth Pastor. His passion has always been working with children and youth. Trevor and his wife, Tori, have three beautiful daughters: Delaney, Felicity, and Hailey with a fourth on the way. He says "I now have the honor of not only serving God as a pastor, but I get to minister here at my home church!" He was born and raised right in Daytona Beach, and has been a member of SDCC for well…… his whole life! Trevor is married to Tori Fricke. They love to be together as a family and enjoy boating, camping, family walks, games, and Disney!

Trevor explained, "I want every student to have a personal relationship with God. I love to see our children and youth build strong bonds with each other. Then together, they can explore and develop their individual relationships with God. When students learn and live out God’s Word, amazing things can happen!"

Scott Gannon is the Worship Pastor at South Daytona Christian Church. Since joining the staff in 2007, Scott and his wife, Rachael, have led our congregation to love Jesus and encouraged us to use our talents to honor and serve our Savior. They love working with the youth, children’s and other ministries of the church. Under Scott’s direction, our worship team and choir have taken the good news of Jesus into the community through events like Christmas in the Park, National Day of Prayer and the Peace for Israel Choir. Scott and Rachael both earned their undergraduate degrees at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. Rachael earned her Masters in Vocal Performance at Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. Scott worked towards his Masters in Music Education at the University of New Mexico while serving a church and school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Their love for classical and contemporary music comes through in our weekly worship experience. Rachael is a wonderfully talented vocalist and pianist and has supported the music ministry in multiple ways. The Gannon’s have found great joy in equipping young men and women to use the musical talents God has given them. They both teach piano and voice lessons at Cuchetti School of Music in Edgewater. They are also members of the National Federation of Music Clubs and their students have been recognized as state-level award winners. “To me, South Daytona Christian Church is a special place. I love the fact that each person in the congregation sees themselves as a minister. We regularly see people taking care of someone in need. People in our congregation see an opportunity to share the love of Jesus and take it. They don’t wait for a staff member to organize, instead they organize and let the staff know what they are doing. I think this is a great example of what the church is supposed to be. It all flows from our leadership. Pastor Bobby is a great shepherd and a great leader to follow. He is a man of great, Godly integrity. He practices what he preaches and he has a great name in our community. Our elders and deacons are committed to giving their all to advance the purposes of God in our city. All of these factors work together to make a wonderful church to call home!”

Krissy has been with SDCC since 2023. She leads our children's programs. She has also helped put together Volusia County's National Day of Prayer for the many years. Krissy is married to Jesse Amos and they have 3 children Jazmin, Abby, and JD. Krissy says “I live a life on the cross. I stand strong on the word of God. I have a love for the lost and my desire is to further the kingdom of Jesus Christ. I have been blessed with the most amazing husband, step daughter, baby girl, and sweet son. The Lord is my stronghold and saved me from my days of death and sin. Now it is my job to reach out to the lost so that God can use me to save others. I am a empty vessel at his disposal, use me Lord!”

Venessa is our Office Manager. She is married to Blake, a member of our worship team and one of our Deacons. They have three boys: Gavin, Aiden, and Lincoln. Her family found SDCC through our preschool. Venessa is our go to person when something needs to be done around the office, as well as administration for our preschool, helping our pastors with their schedules, and keeping things organized. She has a degree in Biblical Studies from Trinity College of FL, and couldn't be more thrilled to be using her gifts to serve our community at SDCC.

Sandy is our fantastic Financial Secretary. She takes care of all the financial documents, recording and reporting for the church and school. She also helps to take care of reception duties and student files during her part time hours. Sandy and her husband, Greg, are long time members and active in ministry at SDCC. They love to serve! They lead the van ministry and have been a blessing to our youth and young adults for many years - plus much more. Sandy is a wonderful addition to our staff!

Lacey is our full time custodian, and boy does she have her hands full cleaning up after all of us! Lacey does an extraordinary job at keeping our church and school clean despite the many obstacles. Lacey's husbands name is Steve and they have 9 children and 1 grandchild between the two of them. Lacey has been with SDCC since 2021. She works so hard to ensure that our church and school are clean, organized, and ready for all of our ministries needs.
